Rugs and Carpets

Regular Vacuuming is Essential

1. We recommend an upright vacuum with beater bars and brushes.
2. Traffic areas should be vacuumed most often. Sand and grit works its way down, and can actually cut the carpet fibers.
3. Remember, the same dust that accumulates on your table tops also falls on your carpet surfaces.

If You Have A Spill

1. Most spills should wipe up with a damp cloth.



• Blot spill with towel.
• Use a damp cloth to get up any liquid that may be left.
• If the spot has already dried, vacuuming or using a soft brush should take care of most problems.


2. For oil or grease based spills, blot with a paper towel and then use a small amount of Energene on a terry towel to take off any excess. (Energene can be found at most hardware stores.)

Upholstery

2. Twice a year (or so), use a white terry cloth towel dampened with water to wipe over the flat surfaces.
3. Remember, the same dust that accumulates on your tabletops also falls on your upholstery.
